Last week we worked at the cabin but forgot the camera… so this covers both weeks…

We cleared some more land east of the cabin… it’s really starting to look nice…

We had to work on our two tractors… the 8n died on us last fall… after doing some research I found that it was probably the solenoid… $10 from tractor supply and 20 minutes to install… works like a charm…

The International is another story… everything started well enough… once we found out the the fuel shutoff needed to be fully open… but then after 20 minutes or so it quit… it would start up again then quit again… it seemed like the fuel was cutting off… so I pulled the carb to clean and will flush the fuel next time we go done… we also found that gas is seeping out of the tank… not alot… but it’s something I will need to fix…

I just did some reading and one thing I read was the coil might be the issue… they are cheap enough so I might just replace it and see… any ideas anyone???

I scanned the manuals for the International 240 and put them on my 1961 International 240 page.

The last task was changing the stove over to propane and plumbing it… we picked up the pipe and valve and turned the stove on… the timer alarm sounded… we had seen that last fall we when got the stove but figured it might be because we did not have gas running to the stove… now with gas it did the same thing… so we pulled the rear panel I the clock circuit board was fried… so we removed the power to it and everything still worked… fired up the burners and they worked… then we tried the oven… the heating element (starts the burner) got hot but the gas never turned on… so some more research… anyone know anything about stoves 🙂

it’s going to be a couple of weeks until my next update…. my oldest daughter is having her first communion next week… so atleast two weeks… maybe more… tractors and countertops are next…
