We were shopping for some chairs at a local Amish shop and I saw this hanging on the wall. The Amishman was very excited to talk about it…

He had picked it up at a auction a long while back just as a conversation piece for the wall. I told him I had several two man saws but had never seen a double sided one and asked if I could take a photo of it. 

We cleaned up a the stamping on the blade 

It reads

Emerson Smith & Co
Beaver Falls PA
Warranted
Superior  Quality
Patent Ground

The last line is a little hard to make out be here is my stab at it
