This week at the cabin we installed fascia at the guest cabin, did a little shooting with an older J.C. Higgins Model 20 and assembled and tested a Butterfly Model A-822 kerosene stove.
I am changing the format of my youtube videos this week as well. Normally I have one long video with several different topics in it. This week I did three separate videos that are more topic centric. My hope is that people that people will be better able to find what they are looking for. We will see if this is a lasting change or not.
The first video is of us installing the Amish made aluminum fascia on the guest cabin and an overview of the day.
The next video up is just me test shooting an older J.C Higgins Model 20 that was given to me by family friend years ago. I have several shotguns and had not shot it. The Local Boy Scouts needed some replacement guns after a break-in and I am happy to donate it to them so they can put it to good use.
You can download the manuals for J.C. Higgins shoguns here, Sears pump shotgun manuals.
The last video is of us setting up and using our new Butterfly, model A-822, kerosene stove. We purchased it from St. Paul Mercantile here, 22-Wick Commercial Aluminum Stove. It has 22 wicks and can deliver 14k btus, enough to can with. It hold 3 liters of kerosene and can burn for 6 hours on a full tank.
The stove is also available from Amazon here (they have better photos) : Butterfly A822 14k BTU 22-Wick Kerosene Cook Stove.
There is a oven available for these stoves, Camping Oven with Heat-Tempered Glass.
Again, Amazon has better photos here Butterfly #2421 Camping Oven.
